It is 323BC, news has reached Greece that Alexander has died in the
far east. Athens has mobilised a coalition of mercenaries, Aiotolians,
Thessalians and minor Greek states to fight for Greek freedom from
Macedonian rule. They have occupied the pass at Thermopolae.
Alexander's regent in Macedon, Antipater, has mobilised his
outnumbered forces and marched south to quell the rebellion. At the
last minute his Thessalian allies defected to the Greek cause making

Once again this will be a form of campaign this year, however it will be much less ambitious than last year and use a highly abstract system. Players will be expected to fight 4 battles - 1 each in Oct, Nov, Jan and Feb.
There will be an "After the Seljuks" theme.

This event has now been confirmed to take place on Sat/Sunday 22-23rd October 2011.
This will be a 2-day, 4 round, themed event. This year's theme is Armies and Enemies of the Roman Republic. A provisional list of permitted armies is given below with further details to follow.
Army size for the competition is 395AP.

This year's event will have a high medieval theme.
Once again there will be parallel FOG and DBMM leagues with the same theme.
Richard Aynsley will run the DBMM league and David Taylor will run the FOG league.

Once again we will host 2 parallel competitions: a DBMM 200AP Open and a narrow historical 320AP theme (The Barbarian Conspiracy to the Fall of Rome 368AD-410AD) on 200AP-sized tables.
